On the occasion of the Christmas festivities, the 'Don Guido Tronzano' Residence for the Elderly in Torrazza Piemonte received a visit from the Bishop of Ivrea, Bishop Edoardo Aldo Cerrato.
The structure celebrated the traditional Christmas Mass with the Bishop of Ivrea, Monsignor Edoardo Aldo Cerrato. Also present were the Mayor of Torrazza Piemonte, Massimo Rozzino, and a representation of the Carabinieri.
The Bishop thanked everyone present, greeting each guest of the facility one by one. At the end of the celebration, the Bishop blessed the residence, wishing the elderly and their families a peaceful Christmas and Happy New Year.
"Our elderly gave a gift card to the diocese, bringing big smiles to the bishop's face. Christmas is a time when being able to make our guests feel less lonely becomes the main aim of all the initiatives organised by our residence. I thank the Diocese and Bishop Cerrato for this beautiful moment of communion and sharing,' said Carmelo Zuppardi, director of the facility and regional contact person for the Piedmont facilities.
There are many Christmas-themed activities and workshops that the residence organises for the month of December. These include meetings with the children of the Torrazza schools, dedicated to games, songs and exchanging gifts for Christmas.
