An afternoon of new discoveries for some elderly people at the RSA 'San Giorgio' in Marcon, managed by Sereni Orizzonti. A group of guests carried out a real "computer course"which was held, on this occasion, right inside the RSA.
The course aimed to teach the guests the basics of how to use a PC and how to surf the Internet to search for topics of interest to them. Specifically, during the first lesson they experimented with the use of the mouse and keyboard and through the internet they searched for images of places they had visited in their youth, evoking memories and places they would have liked to visit, thus creating a virtual trip exploring Europe in a few hours.
"The smiles on the faces of our guests repays us for our constant efforts," says Danijela Filkovska, facility director - "The activity we proposed was a novelty for our users, who proved to be more involved than ever. The computer course was part of a larger project, which we called 'It's never too late to learn' and will also include a Spanish and an English course in the coming months. The main objective of this project, besides creating a diversion, is to have an educational and rehabilitative function for our elderly guests".
