Our ESG strategy

Sereni Orizzonti applies ESG principles, i.e. Environment, Social and Governance, when managing and opening new facilities:

  • Environment. The group designs and builds eco-sustainable nursing homes with cutting-edge features in terms of energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources, and assistive home automation. Built in energy class A3, they are capable of autonomously producing 170 thousand kWh of energy from renewable sources, i.e. over 60% of its entire requirements, reducing the emission into the atmosphere of over 127 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, which is equivalent to the activity of 850 trees. Environmental sustainability also translates into a focus on the location of the facilities in the urban context: our facilities are surrounded by well-equipped green spaces that can be used on foot or with wheelchairs.
  • Social. The residences contribute to a positive impact on local communities: they are active in the area, in continuous collaboration and dialogue with local authorities and social workers, with whom Sereni Orizzonti shares values. We work continuously to strengthen collaboration with schools, cultural and voluntary associations, with the aim of making the RSAs perceived for what they really are: a useful service to the community and to people.
  • Governance. Sereni Orizzonti is committed to ensuring a safe and motivating working environment for its more than 3,000 employees, including social workers, physiotherapists, nurses and Oss. Guaranteeing quality services to the elderly also requires an attractive environment for those working in the residences, which is why we act by minimising risks, preventing discomfort and accidents at work, but also improving transparency and access to health information.

Sereni Orizzonti believes in all-round sustainability, capable of creating resilient contexts that enhance energy efficiency, human capital and integration with the territory.
