A new residence for the elderly in Liguria for Sereni Orizzonti. The purchase of the 84-bed post-acute Rsa “Sestri Ponente” was formalized in recent days.
“With this new purchase, we are consolidating our presence in the region,” says Mario Modolo, general manager of the Group. ”The residence is modern and functional: we are confident that in a short time it will prove to be a reality of significant health impact, capable of responding to the many needs of the area. It will accommodate elderly people with different levels of non-self-sufficiency, who need post-hospital rehabilitative care.”
The residence is licensed and affiliated with ASL 3 Genovese. It is located a few hundred meters from the Antero Micone Hospital, at 21 Viale Carlo Canepa in Genoa. The building, located in the tree-lined avenue a few steps from the center of Sestri Ponente, was renovated in 2010 according to modern architectural principles. The facility is equipped for rehabilitation and care activities: it has a large outdoor green area, a gymnasium, large common areas for guests and visitors, a multipurpose hall, a chapel for worship, and an indoor kitchen.
Sereni Orizzonti complements the management of residences for the elderly with the construction of its own facilities. “The 84 beds of the Rsa “Sestri Ponente” are in addition to the 500 beds opened or opening in the first half of 2024,“ Massimo Blasoni, owner of Sereni Orizzonti, lets us know. ‘There are five upcoming openings in Italy: the Rsa in Fontanafredda, in the province of Pordenone; two new residences in the province of Turin, in San Gillio, opened two months ago, and in La Loggia, opening in May; the Rsa in Sanluri in Sardinia; and the ’Villa dei Glicini” residence in Palermo.”
