Located in the municipality of El Álamo some 30 kilometres from the capital, the Residence 'La Edad de Oro' has 111 beds for non-self-sufficient elderly people and 20 places in the Day Care Centre.
This fully air-conditioned facility has a large, well-kept outdoor garden with a fountain and on the second floor a large terrace with a panoramic view. Served by two lifts and a lift, the residence offers single and double rooms with furnishings that can be customised by the guests and almost all have their own bathroom. The various rooms include a gym for physical rehabilitation, a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals (with a choice of two menus), a lounge for recreational activities, a room for personal services (hairdresser and podiatrist) and a chapel for religious services. The laundry department has four machines, one of which is dedicated to those with particular allergies.
Both the living and dining area and the communal area in the attic for disabled and Alzheimer's residents are particularly well cared for, with great attention to detail. Residents are also guaranteed medical, nursing and physiotherapy services.
