Aurora Hospital is a nursing home located in Colleferro, in the province of Rome. The RSA, with 60 beds, provides health, care and functional recovery services to temporarily and/or permanently non-self-sufficient patients, both physically and cognitively.
The facility's 60 beds are organised in single or double rooms with air conditioning and a modernly equipped private bathroom for the various disabilities. Guests have access to common areas such as the living room, multi-purpose rooms dedicated to occupational and rehabilitation activities, a fully equipped gymnasium and a large green area where guests can spend their days outdoors in peace and security.
Medical, nursing and rehabilitation assistance ensure daily monitoring of the guest's health conditions, guaranteeing a family environment where qualified operators take care of the patient in an atmosphere of respect for their dignity and acceptance of their individuality.
The catering service is provided by the in-house kitchen, where the staff ensures maximum attention to the dietary needs of the guests, their different habits, preferences and dietary requirements.
Activities to recover or maintain autonomy in self-care, psycho-social reactivation, and activities to promote socialisation among the various guests are practised daily. In addition, recreational activities aimed at brightening the guests' days and organised according to a programme of weekly appointments centred on cultural moments of entertainment, manual and socialisation activities, open-air outings, board games, workshops, film and music therapy.
The main objectives of the educators' work are the stimulation of cognitive functions as well as the maintenance of the guest's interests and relational skills through individual and group therapy.
