It is almost spring at the Rsa 'San Giorgio' in Marcon: the residents of the residence have started the Gardening Workshop in the facility's garden.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Circolo Auser in Marcon gave the guests colourful primroses, which were immediately planted in the green space surrounding the residence.
"Spring is beginning to breathe in our residence. The guests were delighted with this gift and planting these beautiful flowers made them feel even more at home. We thank the Circolo Auser in Marcon for giving us this beautiful gift. We support the work of all volunteers in helping the elderly and frail," said the facility's director Danijela Filkovska.
"Improving the quality of life of ageing people does not only depend on the necessary social and health care, but also on all the socialisation and animation activities,' adds General Manager Mario Modolo. 'Residences for the elderly are not closed places: on the contrary, Sereni Orizzonti RSAs are active in the local area and promote collaborations with voluntary and social promotion associations, which attach importance to caring for the elderly and their active ageing.
