A new residence for the elderly in Lombardy for Sereni Orizzonti, Italy's second largest player in the elderly care sector in terms of number of beds. The purchase of the 50-bed Rsa "San Francesco D'Assisi" in Casalpusterlengo, in the province of Lodi, was formalised in recent days.

In Lombardy the Group is present with a further 7 residences operating in the provinces of Milan, Pavia and Cremona. In total Sereni Orizzonti is present in Italy and abroad with 91 facilities for a total of 5,600 beds and 3,500 employees.

"With this new purchase, we are consolidating our presence in the region," says Mario Modolo, General Manager of the Group. "The residence is functional: we are certain that in a short time it will prove to be a reality of significant health impact, capable of responding to the numerous needs of the area. It will welcome non-self-sufficient elderly people who need professional assistance 24 hours a day".

The RSA San Francesco D'Assisi facility is located at the end of a long tree-lined avenue, opposite the Capuchin church. The building, renovated about 2 years ago, has double and single rooms on 2 floors with a total of 50 beds. There is a gymnasium, a hairdressing salon, a small church, a multipurpose room, a hall for educational activities, core kitchens and a garden with a small vegetable garden where guests do their gardening activities.
