GRANDMA MARIA CELEBRATES 102 YEARS AT THE "SAN GIORGIO" RETIREMENT HOME IN MARCON. SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS ON THE OCCASION FROM MAYOR ROMANELLO.

An afternoon of great emotion in the 'San Giorgio' residence for the elderly in Marcon, managed by Sereni Orizzonti. Mrs Maria reached the enviable milestone of 102 years of age and all the other guests and staff of the facility gathered to celebrate this anniversary with her.

The lady's birthday was the occasion to organise a party, which also involved six other guests celebrating their birthdays in May. A party, in short, marked by cheerfulness and presents, which featured the over 100-year-old Maria, surrounded by the affection of her family.

The event was enriched by the presence of the Chorus M'ama choir, which enlivened the celebration with a repertoire much appreciated by the guests and relatives present. For the occasion also Matteo Romanello, Mayor of Marcon, brought his best wishes and floral gifts to the lady and the other celebrants.

"Mayor Romanello's presence was greatly appreciated by the guests, their families, and the staff," says Danijela Filkovska, the facility's director. "Sharing this occasion with him created moments of real emotion, for the support expressed by the Marcon community and for the special emotional involvement related to the perception of the resolution of at least part of the problems related to the recent pandemic period that so involved the guests themselves and all the RSA staff.

"We would also like to thank the president of Caritas Parrocchiale di Marcon Don Silvano Filippetto and the manager Celestina Bonzuan for taking part in the celebration," the director continues. "And a special thanks goes to the mayor Matteo Romanello for the generous contribution of attention and sharing of this moment of happiness'.

"These moments of celebration generate emotional and psychological benefits not only for the guests, but for all those who take part in them," says Mario Modolo, general director of Sereni Orizzonti. "It is a way of expressing closeness to the people we care for every day and to the operators who carry out their work with passion: these are the moments that repay all the effort. Personally, I wish Mrs Maria all the best and I sincerely thank the mayor and all those who took part".
