A happy milestone in Borghetto Santo Spirito: Mrs Filomena Palazzo has turned 90. And to celebrate her, a big party was held in the residence where she lives, the RSA 'Humanitas', managed by Sereni Orizzonti. For the occasion all the other guests and staff of the facility gathered to celebrate this anniversary with her. 

Madame's birthday was the occasion to organise a party, full of joy and presents, which featured Filomena, surrounded by the affection of her family.

Filomena Palazzo, born in Albori, in the province of Vietri sul Mare, had a very intense life: surrounded by the affection of a large family - no less than eight children and 16 grandchildren! - She came to live in Ceriale in 1970 and devoted her entire life to looking after her children. Her family came to visit her very often, especially her children and grandchildren who live near her.

All close relatives were present during the celebration, some of whom had travelled from Campania for the occasion. In honour of Mrs Filomena, the Auser association, which was very present and helpful during all the convivial moments, and Don Francesco, the town's parish priest, also took part in the afternoon festivities.

"These moments of celebration generate emotional and psychological benefits not only for the guests, but for all those who take part in them," says Luca Ghiglione, director of the Borghetto Santo Spirito facility. "It is a way of expressing closeness to the people we care for every day and to the operators who do their work with passion: these are the moments that repay all the effort. I would like to thank very much the Auser association, a group of volunteers who are very close to the facility, who came to sing for us. Finally, I personally wish Mrs Filomena all the best!".
