THE INTERNET GALAXY EXPLAINED TO THE GUESTS OF THE 'VILLA TUSCOLANA' HOSPICE

The 'Digitalmentis' project has landed at the RSA 'Villa Tuscolana' in Rome: the residence took part in the experimental pilot programme on digital education of the Lazio Region for the two-year period 2023-24. The digital world is constantly changing and there are many risks that can be encountered, which is why it was necessary to 'alphabetise' the over-65s and fragile social categories free of charge, warning them of possible frauds and scams, on the correct use of social and digital products, the use of smartphones, and online surfing.

"The project of the Assoconfam aps association has our guests very enthusiastic. As a residence, we share the values of this initiative, which sees the knowledge of the world of the Internet and the positive and negative aspects of this tool as fundamental to individual emancipation and social inclusion. I thank director Alessandro Stirpe for giving all our guests the opportunity to learn and stimulate their curiosity through these meetings" - said facility director Francesca Cartisano.

During the meetings, guests were given handouts, teaching materials and finally pedagogical prizes as real experts in the digital world.
