On Friday 12 April, the new Municipal Park of the City of La Loggia, located between Via G. Gozzano, Via U. Saba and Via E. Montale, was inaugurated. The redevelopment project of the municipal area had been taken over by 3AMilano, which has committed to the municipal administration to carry out all the necessary works to ensure complete accessibility and usability of the nearby 120-bed residence for the elderly, soon to be opened in the province of Turin.
The work involved the reorganisation of a 38-space car park bordering the future residence for the elderly. The adjacent new RSA has a secondary and exclusively pedestrian access, which will be used by the guests of the facility and their carers. The facility will be directly connected to the municipal green area by means of a driveway. Along the paths, benches have been placed and shaded areas created with trees and bushes. In addition to the play area, which has been enlarged and fenced off, the attraction pole of the entire green area is the new multipurpose playground, also fenced off, used for sports such as basketball, volleyball and five-a-side football.
"The main aim of the project was to redevelop the urban landscape and improve the environmental and landscape qualities of the area through the creation of parking spaces, pedestrian paths, and rest areas, as well as the implementation of the existing playground area and the creation of a new multi-purpose sports field," says Gabriele Meluzzi, CEO of the Group. "The new green area will serve a densely populated area. This means that the construction of a residence for the elderly can involve the entire city community, organising useful services for families in the neighbourhood".
"From today, the community of La Loggia will have the opportunity to enjoy a new socialising space, an area where young people of the same age can spend time together, but which can also unite people of different generations. This has been the aim of the Municipal Park project from the very beginning,' says Domenico Romano, Mayor of La Loggia.
