THURSDAY LUNCHES AND DANCE THERAPY: THE CRA 'TWO MILES' INITIATIVES IN DECEMBER

Christmas is also approaching for the Cra 'Due Miglia' in Piacenza. Decorations, trees and bows decorate the entire facility.

In anticipation of the festivities and initiatives organised for Christmas, there are other projects that are bringing great joy to the residents of the residence in recent weeks.

The 'Thursday Lunches' between family members and guests, for example, begin again, a time for conviviality that excites everyone. Lunch is offered by the facility with a menu prepared by the facility's cook Michela Scrolavezza, who imaginatively makes guests taste pesto rolls, ham and pistachio cream, even roasts with milk cream. Good wine is never lacking to brighten up the meal.

Family members of guests contribute a voluntary offering.

December also saw the start of a new educational project involving the guests' motor skills: dance therapy. Twice a month, the residence educator Fabiola will help the elderly rebalance their emotional and psychomotor areas, bringing new energy through body movement and emotions.

"Stimulating our guests with new and different activities is one of the main objectives of the educational projects that our residence organises. Whether it is dance therapy workshops or lunches with relatives, at the heart of all our initiatives is the interest in the physical and mental wellbeing of the elderly,' says Emilia Tramelli, director of the residence and regional contact person for the Piacenza facilities. 'After the pandemic, moments of conviviality with family members are what our guests appreciate most. I would like to thank all the staff of the residence who care about all the elderly and make this possible".
