A story of resilience and passion that has inspired an entire therapeutic project. This is the story of Ezio Tomat, a guest of the "Giacinto Blasoni" RSA in Risano, managed by Sereni Orizzonti, whose dedication to horses since childhood has given rise to an innovative initiative that has met with great success among the facility's guests.
The project involved Rose, a sweet mare who visited the guests in the garden of the RSA on a sunny afternoon at the end of May; Rose was accompanied by Veronica Turco from the association Fabio Mangilli Equestrian Centre (FMEC)fundamental in the realisation of the project.
The idea arose from a need to be involved in the daily activities of Ezio, a guest whose passion for horses began as a child, when he would ride his cart around village festivals and participate in various sporting events with his beloved animals. However, the life of Ezio, an active, feisty and sports-loving person, took a dramatic turn on 8 November 2017, when a serious accident left him in a coma for several days. The rehabilitation that followed was long and demanding, but today Ezio is better and lives in the Risano residence, where his family is particularly pleased with the progress and improvements achieved.
