Clean air, a taste for discovery and serenity: these were the main ingredients of the day spent by the guests of the Rsa "Humanitas" in Borghetto Santo Spirito.

Guided by the facility's director and educator, the elderly went to an ice-cream parlour not far away, where they spent a few hours outdoors and in company. The guests, as if in a 'procession' along the seafront promenade of Borghetto Santo Spirito, were involved in an intense socialising experience, together with their many close relatives.

"We enjoyed the first ice cream of the summer together and celebrated the next of the tourist season, but above all, we left the terrible period of anti-Covid restrictions behind us," said Ilenia Marenco, facility animator. "The outings in the area are a unique and special occasion for our grandparents. They represent a return to sociability. This is an aspect that for residents of retirement homes, unfortunately, is sometimes lacking: that's why we are always very committed to this front and never forget their importance. After the visit, we immediately saw the benefits: the residents were much more active, lively and vital, both mentally and physically".
