"GUEST PARTY' IN FIESCO: THE GRANDPARENTS OF THE SERENI ORIZZONI RETIREMENT HOME CELEBRATE WITH A SUMPTUOUS LUNCH, MUSIC AND LIVE PERFORMANCES

With the arrival of autumn, the 'Villa Abbadia' residence for the elderly in Fiesco held its first Festa dell'Ospite, on 9 October: a day entirely dedicated to the facility's elderly guests, their families and all those who, in compliance with regulations, wished to take part in a cheerful afternoon.

"The preparation of the Guest Feast took a lot of effort," says Giusi Soccini, director of the facility. "We strongly wanted to create a moment of sharing between our guests and their families, but also to offer the possibility for everyone to participate in a convivial moment.

The celebration began with the celebration of mass and continued with a lunch all together, guests and relatives, under the banner of a rich and refined menu, prepared by chef Antonio Gusmaroli: a starter of puff pastry tulip with sea bass fondue on saffron velouté, a first course of timballo compote with parmesan and white meat sauce, and a second course of meat millefeuille au gratin with pumpkin cream. Following lunch, an afternoon of fun and involvement: music with DJ Luca Maccalli, a raffle full of prizes, a snack in the company, and finally a wonderful show with fire-eaters.

"The festival was a real success," the director concludes. "Now that we have taken off, we will repeat this event every year, hoping to make it a tradition in our community.

The "Villa Abbadia" residence in Fiesco (Cr) can accommodate elderly people with varying degrees of self-sufficiency. It is managed by Sereni Orizzonti, one of the first three groups at national level operating in the construction and management of nursing homes, with about 80 RSAs and more than 5 thousand beds in Italy and abroad.
