SNOW HAS ARRIVED AT THE 'OPERA PIA SICCARDI' SERENI ORIZZONTI NURSING HOME IN SPOTORNO: A SPECIAL GIFT FOR GRANDPA BRUNO

Christmas is just around the corner and all kinds of good and unexpected things can happen.

This is what happened at the Rsa 'Opera Pia Siccardi' in Spotorno: the residence had an exciting experience, to say the least. Alessio, a young man from Turin, together with his girlfriend Giorgia and a friend of theirs who came directly from Sweden, fulfilled Mr Bruno's wish: to see the snow again.

In his minivan, Alessio drove from Turin to Bardonecchia, loaded a large quantity of snow into a cooler and travelled to Spotorno, to bring the snow so beloved of his grandfather Bruno, a lifelong ski enthusiast, in person.

Bruno was thus able, together with his son and new 'grandchildren by marriage', to finally play snowballs.

Once again this year, in fact, Sereni Orizzonti is supporting the 'Grandchildren of Father Christmas' Project, organised by the non-profit organisation Un Sorriso in Più Onlus, with more than 20 facilities, an initiative made up of magical moments and unique emotions among volunteers and elderly people, happy to know that someone has thought of them.

"With the arrival of Christmas, moments of sharing are even more magical and special. Witnessing how much humanity there is in people is the most beautiful gift. The Project is a wonderful opportunity to create new bonds and stay in touch with volunteers who can actually become the "Grandchildren" of our guests" - said facility director Paola Cristiglio.
