The Consolata Church reopens at the RSA 'La Quercia' in Borgo d'Ale thanks to a group of volunteers. After 12 months of closure, restoration work brings new splendour and spiritual support to the community

    La "Consolata Churchlocated within the RSA 'La Quercia' in Borgo d'Ale, has finally reopened its doors to the public at the Ash Fridayafter 12 months closure. The event, the result of thecommitment of a group of volunteers represents an important milestone for the community and a sign of spiritual rebirth.

    A place of faith and history

    La Church of the Consolata has always been a point of reference for guests of the RSA and for the residents of Borgo d'Ale. Located within the La Quercia' nursing homeoperated by 3A Milan, the church holds a history of faith and tradition, so dear to those who have attended it for years.

    Restoration work and the importance of volunteers

    The recent restoration work included a first part of emergency restoration and the repainting of the interior walls, giving the sacred building back its ancient splendour. The operations were completed in time to celebrate the Ash Fridaya significant moment for the parish community.

    The entire initiative was made possible thanks to the contribution of a group of volunteers led by Letizia, who dedicated time e resources to restore the church to its original decorum. According to the director of the RSA, Tina Caputothis restoration "it represents much more than a simple aesthetic intervention, because it offers guests the opportunity to experience the spiritual dimension in a welcoming place, contributing to their well-being"..

    A tightening community

    The ceremony of reopening was officiated by Don Thierry Aime Tomowho expressed great satisfaction with the result. The Church of the Consolata thus resumes its role as place of comfort and prayertrue to the meaning of its very name.

    Future developments

    The restoration project does not stop here: in the coming months further finishing work and of arrangementconsolidating the path of collaboration between the RSA La Quercia and the local community. A positive signal and a virtuous example of how the volunteering can make a difference in the territory.
