by Fabio Sottocornola

So says Massimo Blasoni, owner and founder of Sereni Orizzonti, the Udine-based group that plans to build twenty new RSAs over the next four years in different regions of Italy

"We have planned the construction of twenty new nursing homes, RSAs, over the next four years: an investment of more than 200 million. Says Massimo Blasoni, owner and founder of Sereni Orizzonti, the Udine-based group is present in the sector with residences for the elderly, psychiatric communities and communities for minors.
"The new beds are located in Piedmont, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Sardinia. The goal is to reach 10,000 beds by 2029, adding to the RSAs builtacquisitions of facilities sold by individual operators'.
Today the group has 6,500 seats and 3,800 employees in more than 90 facilities between Italy and Spain. Numbers that make it the second largest group in the RSA sector, with a peculiarity: unlike the majority of the other players, in addition to the management activity it directly builds its own nursing homes for the elderly. In 2024, the revenue perimeter exceeded 240 million.
