Once upon a time...' fairy tales take everyone back to childhood. If they are told by grandmothers and grandfathers, they take everyone back in time to when, as children, listening to 'bedtime stories' was the most anticipated thing in the day.

This gave rise to the idea of the RSA "Le Camelie" of S. Giovanni al Natisone to organise the "Festa dei Nonni cantastorie" (Grandparents' Storytelling Festival) on Sunday, 1 October 2023: for the occasion, the elderly people of the rest home turned into storytellers telling fairy tales for young and old.

"Family and friends were greeted with the best-known and best-loved stories, but there were also surprises, lesser-known fairy tales, with which the residents of the facility were ready to surprise the imaginations of their listeners," said director Siwar Said. "It was a wonderful opportunity to spend a day together with loved ones and to inaugurate the autumn season of events that will be held in the rest home in the coming months.
