Christmas is just around the corner also at the RSA "Le Camelie" in S. Giovanni al Natisone: the first gift arrived at the facility from two "Grandchildren of Father Christmas" who personally delivered their present to Mrs. Elda: a red jumper. Other gifts continue to arrive for the guests, who are overjoyed to know that someone has thought of them.
Once again this year, Sereni Orizzonti is supporting the 'Grandchildren of Father Christmas' Project, organised by the non-profit organisation Un Sorriso in Più Onlus, with more than 20 facilities. This project is made up of magical moments and unique emotions between the guests and the volunteers who grant their wishes.
"With the arrival of Christmas, the moments of sharing are even more magical and special. Grandchildren can visit guests in person or meet them virtually. To see our guests so happy and to witness how much humanity there is in people is the most beautiful gift," said facility director Siwar Said.
Having now entered into the Christmas spirit, the facility staff and some self-sufficient guests also participated with their own stall at the 'Aiar di Nadal' Christmas market, organised by the municipality. The aim of the residence, managed by Sereni Orizzonti, is to collect donations to realise the 'Travelling with me' project to take guests on a trip in spring. Guests and operators representing the facility met the mayor Carlo Pali and the volunteers of the Red Cross of S. Giovanni al Natisone.
"Participating in these initiatives gives our guests the opportunity to feel less lonely, especially during the holiday season. I would like to thank all the operators, nurses and management, who helped realise the 'Travelling with me' project," the director concludes.
