A Christmas with a smile also for the guests of the 'Sereni Orizzonti' Residences for the Elderly.
In order to create hope and expectation, making them feel the closeness of the community in a concrete way, the management joined the initiative 'Santa's Grandchildren' (https://www.nipotidibabbonatale.it), promoted by the non-profit organisation 'Un sorriso in più'.
The idea is as simple as it is important: to collect and fulfil the wishes of grandparents living in retirement homes, be it a small gesture, a gift or a letter. The association's volunteers then take over and 'fulfil' the wishes of the residents, thus creating a loving exchange.
Among them, Giuliana asked for her recipe book to be published; Marco wished to attend the Nomadi concert (unfortunately, due to covid, it was necessary to change his wish and replace them with CDs); Elda asked for a blow-up of her grandchildren's photo to hang in her room; Ciso received a national football team jersey with his name on it (the best thing is that the gift is from the 5th grade of Manta); Silvia will receive an artisanal panettone from Milan; Rina and Pina (best friends, they met at the facility) will go to eat fish in Aquileia; Fulvia requested to eat Peon's cod in Turriaco; Rita requested a Father Christmas costume to be used throughout the Christmas period; Jole expressed her wish to see snow and her niece gave her a sphere to shake with artificial snow.
