È ufficialmente iniziata la progettazione per la realizzazione di 20 nuovi posti letto a Macomer, nella RSA di Sereni Orizzonti. La Rsa di Nuraghe Ruju a Macomer, dunque, sarà ampliata passando dagli attuali 40 posti letto a 60.

The go-ahead for the extension officially came from the ASL. Sereni Orizzonti made an investment of around 2 million euro for the extension, granting the necessary authorisations, together with a favourable compatibility opinion. The request for an increase in the number of stations also stems from the need of local hospitals to refer newly discharged patients to a suitable facility. The Macomer RSA, in fact, represents the only facility in the province of Nuoro and is accredited with a high care profile (R2).

"We are very pleased with the ASL's decision," says Valentino Bortolussi, head of real estate development. "This is good news for the area and an important step forward in enhancing healthcare activities in the area. In the waiting list that has been created, we will give priority to hospital discharges, and, later, the intention is to accommodate the many other requests for assistance and care that arrive from the territory".

"The 40 places in the Macomer RSA were a great achievement," says Antonio Succu, mayor of the municipality of Macomer, "The need for such a facility is very strong in the area: we have very significant waiting lists. Therefore, we are very happy that the region has authorised an increase in the 50% of places. It is a decision that goes in the right direction and that leads us to fill important gaps in our territory".  

La struttura di Macomer è gestita da Sereni Orizzonti, il secondo gruppo a livello nazionale che opera nella costruzione e gestione di residenze sanitarie assistenziali, con circa 80 Rsa e più di 5mila posti letto in Italia e all’estero.
