Easter is a celebration for the elderly of the rest homes. At the Rsa 'Belvedere' in Barga, guests took part in the 'Happy Birthday Lunch' on Sunday 24 April, together with relatives, who came to visit their loved ones for the occasion and spent a few hours with them. The large table with colourful tablecloth and napkins, enriched by decorations made by the guests, was the star of the party. The relatives enjoyed everything from the excellent food prepared by the cooks to the festive atmosphere created. For the guests, it was an opportunity to spend a nice time in the company of their loved ones.

"Thanks to the cooperation between all the professionals working in our facility," says Simona Cantoni, director of the residence, "we made this moment of sharing possible. The arrival of the guests' relatives was like a breath of fresh air, who experienced the full meaning of the Easter festivities".

For the Third Age, the essential aim of these activities is not to lose the stimuli for communal life and the interest in everyday events, which are the main way to continue to feel fulfilled and part of the community.
