But the ageing population, without an adequate care system, risks turning into a social emergency. \"According to the<strong>OECD,<\/strong>&nbsp;we have just 18 beds per 1,000 inhabitants over 65, compared to 49 in Germany and 50 in France. A figure that cries out for urgency,\" says&nbsp;<strong>Massimo Blasoni<\/strong>, Friulian entrepreneur and founder of one of Italy's largest groups active in the management of RSAs, \"<strong>Serene horizons<\/strong>\"the second largest group in Italy after Kos Care, controlled by De Benedetti's Cir and the F2i fund.<br>Its network now has 90 facilities in Italy and one in Spain, with a total of 6,000 beds and 3,800 employees. Revenues in 2023 exceeded 240 million euros. But size is not the point, insists Blasoni: 'We are not building beehives.
