After 12 months of closure, restoration work brings new splendour and spiritual support to the community<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>by Andrea Aletto<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La\u00a0<strong>\"Consolata Church<\/strong>located within the\u00a0<strong>RSA 'La Quercia' in Borgo d'Ale<\/strong>, has finally\u00a0<strong>reopened<\/strong>\u00a0its doors to the public at the\u00a0<strong>Ash Friday<\/strong>after\u00a0<strong>12 months closure<\/strong>. The event, the result of the<strong>commitment<\/strong>\u00a0of a group of\u00a0<strong>volunteers<\/strong>\u00a0represents an important milestone for the community and a sign of spiritual rebirth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A place of faith and history<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La\u00a0<strong>Church of the Consolata<\/strong>\u00a0has always been a point of reference for\u00a0<strong>guests<\/strong>\u00a0of the RSA and for the residents of Borgo d'Ale. Located within the\u00a0<strong>La Quercia' nursing home<\/strong>operated by\u00a0<strong>3A Milan<\/strong>, the church holds a history of faith and tradition, so dear to those who have attended it for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Restoration work and the importance of volunteers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The recent&nbsp;<strong>restoration work<\/strong>&nbsp;included a first part of&nbsp;<strong>emergency restoration<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>repainting<\/strong>&nbsp;of the interior walls, giving the sacred building back its&nbsp;<strong>ancient splendour<\/strong>. The operations were completed in time to celebrate the&nbsp;<strong>Ash Friday<\/strong>a significant moment for the parish community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire initiative was made possible thanks to the contribution of&nbsp;<strong>a group of volunteers<\/strong>&nbsp;led by Letizia, who dedicated&nbsp;<strong>time<\/strong>&nbsp;e&nbsp;<strong>resources<\/strong>&nbsp;to restore the church to its original decorum. According to the&nbsp;<strong>director of the RSA, Tina Caputo<\/strong>this restoration&nbsp;<em>\"it represents much more than a simple aesthetic intervention, because it offers guests the opportunity to experience the spiritual dimension in a welcoming place, contributing to their well-being\".<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A tightening community<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony of&nbsp;<strong>reopening<\/strong>&nbsp;was officiated by&nbsp;<strong>Don Thierry Aime Tomo<\/strong>who expressed great satisfaction with the result. The&nbsp;<strong>Church of the Consolata<\/strong>&nbsp;thus resumes its role as&nbsp;<strong>place of comfort and prayer<\/strong>true to the meaning of its very name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Future developments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The restoration project does not stop here: in the coming months further&nbsp;<strong>finishing work<\/strong>&nbsp;and of&nbsp;<strong>arrangement<\/strong>consolidating the path of&nbsp;<strong>collaboration<\/strong>&nbsp;between the&nbsp;<strong>RSA La Quercia<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>local community<\/strong>.
