An afternoon dedicated to traditions, so dear to the nostalgic and the curious to rediscover a now distant past, and manual skills. The 'Gomitolorosa di Bellavista' Association entertained the elderly of the 'Le magnolie' rest home in Settimo Vittone, managed by Sereni Orizzonti, for a few hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 'Gomitolorosa' Association is committed to the promotion of solidarity, the recovery of well-being and care for the environment. It recovers surplus Italian wool, which would otherwise be burnt, for environmental protection and the preservation of native wool, with which it creates balls in 14 different colours associated with certain pathologies. It supports knitting as a therapeutic tool for individual recovery of psycho-physical well-being, donating certified 100% wool. It collaborates with associations and amateur knitting groups throughout the country for the production of artefacts aimed at social solidarity.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

During the afternoon, the guests were able to train their manual skills and spend a few hours in the company of operators and volunteers, reminiscing about old traditions and the precious art of 'knitting'. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

\"The smiles on the faces of our guests repays us for our constant commitment,\" says Danilo Franchino, director of the facility. \"The activities we have proposed are appropriate for our guests, who in fact have shown themselves to be more involved than ever. My heartfelt thanks go to the association and all the staff who day after day take care of the guests with love and great professionalism\".<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

The 'Le magnolie' facility in Settimo Vittone can accommodate non-self-sufficient elderly people. It is managed by Sereni Orizzonti, one of the first three groups at national level operating in the construction and management of nursing homes, with about 80 RSAs and more than 5,000 beds in Italy and abroad.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
